Today was a good flex day. Slept in (till almot 8:00!!!), went to the gym, cleaned up the condo, did some homework, visited with the fam, made dinner..... the average housewife's day. I am not a housewife, but I get to hang out twith them at the gym when I go on my flex day. I never actually believed that women put on makeup and did their hair to go to the gym until I started going to the Canton Club. These women are crazy. CRAZY.

But anyway, I don't have a ton to report. My wedding album is in. We are picking it up tomorrow night. I can't wait!!! :) Someone needs to get married asap so I can go to a wedding. I love going to weddings. Someone invite me to a wedding, dammit!

Grey's is on tonight. We shall see if she picks Derek or Finn. I have a feeling that will be a season long dilemma. I enjoy Chris O'Donnell though, so I don't care if he sticks around for a bit.

Okay, time to get ready for tomorrow before Ugly Betty. Have a pleasant tomorrow.

I watched Jericho tonight - I have to say that I didn't like it. I won't be jumping on that bandwagon. Personally, I'm not even sure that it will last. I hope it doesn't because I am still mad that Related was cancelled. I liked Related. And I'm angry that I won't be able to watch it ever again. But yet Survivor 7 billion is on this season. To everyone who watched Reality TV - YOU SUCK. It's NOT good television. If you stop watching it, they will stop playing it. Here is a helpful hin and fyi - it's not real. It's SCRIPTED and even then, on average they show LESS than 1% of what they film. So stop watching it and watch some good shows instead. Some examples are.... Gilmore Girls, Grey's Anatomy, I think Studio 60 is going to be good, the original CSI is good, and Numb3rs can turn any boring Friday night into a super fantastic Friday night. And don't worry if you missed the first 1 or 7 seasons. Netflix people.... netflix. Learn it, love it, use it. Enough with the ridiculous reality TV. It's time for it to go.

Gilmore Girls is starting Tuesday. I already read spoilers, but I won't put them here. I understand about now wanting to know spoilers. I was psycho about not wanting to find anything out about Grey's. But tune into Gilmore Girls this season. It's most likey going to be the last, so make sure you enjoy it while you can.

I did it! I watched an entire season of Grey's Anatomy in one week. And not even the short first season. It helped that Andrew was sick last week and I had Thursday off, but I did it. So now will Meredith go with Derek or with Finn? And how cute is Chris O'Donnell? He's not a good enough actor to pull off a movie, but I think he's been goon in Grey's. I'm glad I just watched the finale last night. I only have to wait 2 days to see what happens, not 4 months.

And this is the first year that I haven't read spoilers for the beginning of Gilmore Girls (don't forget, it starts next Tuesday at 8pm on the CW!) I will be DVRing GG as I have stupid class, but that's okay. I'll watch it eventually. I'm starting to think Lorelei belongs with Chris, after the way Luke treated her last season.

I am going to Keene this weekend. Any ideas on how to have a keen time?

I would rather be a cashier making $9.50 an hour for the rest of my life than go to grad school. However I am plugging through it. It's a semester by semester decision if I am going to keep on attending. This semester I'm there, who knows what will happen next semester. Anyway, I have so much work to do right now that I want to cry. I just want it to be December so my semester will be over. And if I continue on next semester, it will still get a good 3 weeks off. So please December, get here as quickly as possible.

I am so bored. I have watched about 7 episodes of Grey's Anatomy in the past 24 hours. I can't watch anymore because I'm a little sick of watching TV. I'm bored and don't want to do my homework. So here I am up, updating my blog for all the world to read and catch up on my extremely interesting life. So here is what is new with my extremely interesting life:

nothing.

Yeah, there is nothing new with me. I got my social security card back and went to the RMV this morning. I officially have three last names. Beat that! I bet you only have one. I have three. Therefore I am better than you. :) Or something like that.

This is the part of the show when I post random pictures and then comment about them.

This is a picture of me after 6 hours of shoveling during the Blizzard of 2005 - remember the huge storm in which we got more snow than the Blizzard of 78. Only we had the added joy of knowing it was coming. Note I still lived in Quincy. My office was 4.5 miles away from my house. It took me 45 minutes to get to work the next day. It sucked.

This is a picure of the view of one of the ski lifts at Pats Peak. It's extremely pretty, although somewhat depressing because this picture was probably taken around 4pm. And Pat's Peak is so small, that even Andrew and I, who are not great skiers get bored with it quickly. But a pretty picture nonetheless

This is Katie cornering the market on Retard Bowling. Enough said.

This is one hell of a good drink. This was at the beach restaurant in Aruba, called Waves. They had happy hour from 4-7. Buy one, get one half price. Or free. I can't remember. We had too many. Everyone should to go to the Marriott in Aruba. It was so fantastic. And you'll get incredibly yummy drinks. Plus the 90 degree weather with NO HUMIDITY. It's great.

Yeah. I watched a lot of that show today

Where were you When the World Stopped Turning?

Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day?
Out in the yard with your wife and children?
Working on some stage in LA?
Did you stand there in shock at the site of that black smoke rising against that blue sky?
Did you shout out in anger?
In fear for your neighbor?
Or did you just sit down and cry?
Did you weep for the children who lost their dear loved ones?
And pray for the ones who don't know?
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble?
And sob for the ones left below?
Did you burst out in pride for the red white and blue?
The heroes who died just doing what they do?
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer?
And look at yourself to what really matters?
I'm just a singer of simple songs - I'm not a real political man. I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you the difference in Iraq and Iran. But I know Jesus and I talk to God and I remember this from when I was young. Faith hope and love are some good things he gave us and the greatest is love
Where were you when the world stopped turning that September day?
Teaching a class full of innocent children?
Driving down some cold interstate?
Did you feel guilty cause you're a survivor?
In a crowded room did you feel alone?
Did you call up your mother and tell her you love her?
Did you dust off that bible at home?
Did you open your eyes and hope it never happened?
Close your eyes and not go to sleep?
Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages?
Speak with some stranger on the street?
Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow?
Go out and buy you a gun?
Did you turn off that violent old movie you're watching And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns?
Did you go to a church and hold hands with some stranger?
Stand in line and give your own blood?
Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family?
Thank God you had somebody to love
~Alan Jackson
5 years later I still cannot listen to this song without crying. I feel like it was yesterday. It was a gorgeous day like today too.

I do apologize for my sporadic blogging. I do what I can, but I cannot always find the time to blog

Summer is officially over. Labor day has come and gone, the kids are back in school, and it’s not hot anymore. Of course my office still blares the AC so it feels like the arctic.

Labor day was colder than Memorial Day was. That’s just not right. Andrew and I did a lot of shopping, but we didn’t buy anything. We saw Snakes on a Plane (it was okay… kinda scary, kinda cheesy), watched a lot of Numb3rs, went to the yacht club 2x for lunch and went for a couple of walks. That was basically the whole weekend except for the Cat Drama.

What is the Cat Drama? Well, let me tell you. Kitty decided to go for a little walk around 8am on Monday. For those of you who know Kitty, you know he is the dumbest cat alive. Seriously, cats are usually somewhat intelligent. Not this one. He’s the size of a small child, but little kittens have beaten him up and caused serious injuries. He’s just not smart. Anyway, he decided to go exploring. Normally he will stay within our neighbors yards, occasionally venturing further, but he never even goes as far as my grandmother’s house (for those of you who have yet to come visit the cape, there are two houses separating my house and my grandmother’s house). So we’ve firmly established that the cat doesn’t wander very far. At 10am, the cat wasn’t back. This is unlike the cat because he normally spends his day curled up on one of the chairs on the deck. He’s pretty lazy. So noon comes…. No cat. This is unheard of, because he has now gone 4 hours without food, and he constantly begs for it. He completely missed his lunchtime. Kitty doesn’t disappear for hours at a time (or even days like some cats). He’ll be gone for an hour, tops. So 4 hours and people started to get nervous. But we had a busy afternoon, we had to help my brother pull his boat, my father and Andrew went golfing, I went to have a polish change on my nails. Beth and my mother started looking around our neighborhood around 4 (8 hours without Kitty). Absolutely no sign of Kitty. About 5:30 my aunts joined our search. We combed the entire neighborhood. We traveled all through our neighbors yards, searched in the woods, drove up and down the streets – nothing. No Kitty. So more time passes (we’re still looking mind you), but we had to go home. Everyone felt terrible, but we all had to work in the morning, and we couldn’t stay any longer. It was decided Andrew and I would drive my mother home, and my father would stay down the cape and leave for work directly from the cape Tuesday morning. My mother is extremely upset because her buddy is missing! We kept thinking about how lost and scared he was (someone a few streets down actually saw him wandering around in the middle of the day) and how the foxes or coyotes could eat him. It was a sad drive home. I feel like a rotten person leaving without him, but what could we do? We had to go work. So at about 8:30 (12 hours without Kitty) my mother’s cell phone rings. It was my father. Once we left, he searched all the streets again and finally had to give up when it got dark. And a few minutes after he got home, completely giving up hope we’d see Kitty again…. He hears familiar scratching at the door! Kitty came back! Apparently he was all freaked out when he found his way back and hasn’t been wandering anywhere at all since he found his way home. Now I know that cats usually find their way home – but this cat is so dumb, I can’t properly explain it. I really believe it was just luck he managed to come home. So thankfully Kitty is safe and sound and he won’t be wandering anywhere anytime soon!

So this coming weekend is a busy weekend for me. Friday night my family is going out to celebrate the fact that Michael passed his CFA level III and is currently Charter Pending, soon to be Michael, MSF, CFA. Too smart for his own good. Saturday I have my first HR class and then we are going to the home opener at BC. Yeah tailgating! Then Sunday is the First Annual Patriots Kickoff Party! Be there or be square! So should be a busy busy weekend. I have Monday off because I have to take care of Andrew who is getting all 4 of his wisdom teeth pulled. Poor Andrew. He’ll be out of work Monday and Tuesday, but Tuesday he’ll have to take care of himself, since I have to go to work and school. But I’m sure he’ll be fine and play lots of Madden.

For the SACer’s - I think we should all go to Homecoming, October 13 and 14, tailgate at the football game and go to the pub. I think it would be a fun time.
