I paid $3.97 for gas today. I was unbelievably excited. I even did a little happy dance to myself as I was filling up in the pouring rain. Then I got home and Andrew told me he saw it for $3.95.
Foiled again!
I joined a gym today. Which means tomorrow I have to go to the gym. Which means I have to pack a gym bag so I can go after work. I already don't want to go and I haven't gone yet.
I heard a man on NPR today saying how he can't afford his mortgage on his 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2car garage. Maybe he shouldn't have bought a 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, 2 car garage house! While I do feel for the people who are really in over their heads on the mortgages, I have no pity for the people who bought way too much house. Having a house is a privilege, not a right.
I wish I could bike to work, but that would require biking either on Rt 138 or Rt 37. Neither one are bike friendly. In fact, there's a huge possibility I could die if I did bike there. But still, I wish there was a way.

my dance was for $4.27.
um, just realized that my friend was still logged into my computer. it's me! it's bree! i paid $4.27 and did a happy dance!
There is a way you could bike along those routes; it is called investment in non-auto infrastructure and it is becoming increasingly popular. That and adjusting federal DOT regs so that we stop subsidizing road work at an above-average rate, discouraging investments in things like bike lanes. Oh, and $3.95 is definitely worth dancing for.
