On the day we left the hospital with our brand new baby girl, we fantasized about a family naptime. We were exhausted and we were very much looking forward to taking everyone's advice and sleeping when the baby slept. Unfortunately we had to take her in for an emergency sick visit because she wouldn't eat (oh, the ridiculous fear of new mothers... because she WAS eating, but whatev). And a few tearful calls to my mother resulted into her coming over (thank god). The moral of this whole story is we never got our family naptime.
It took over 15 months.... but this weekend we got our very first family naptime! Yay!! The whole family fell asleep around 1 and two of us slept till 3, a 3rd member of the family slept till about 3:15.
It was FABULOUS. I love Family Naptime! I can't wait till the next one!
