tired

6:20 comes quickly. I feel like I have just closed my eyes when the damn buzzer is going off. The first time it does, at 6:20, I usually hit snooze with no recollection of doing so. I'm normally surprised when it goes off at 6:29. Then I hit snooze again, because everyone should get one snooze after all, and all of the sudden it is 6:38 and I'm late. During normal traffic times (ie not Christmas or summer) I have to leave my house by 7, or I will never make it to work on time. Therefore, getting out of bed at 6:38 leaves me 22 minutes to get out of the house. It hardly ever happens. I've been known to hit snooze after 6:38 and fall back asleep till 6:47. That turns me into full fledged Panic Girl, because while I try to shower at night, sometimes I have to do it in the morning. And I have 13 minutes to get out of the house.

I've tried everything. I've tried to go to bed earlier, but that does not help me get up any earlier. I've tried setting my alarm earlier, but sometimes I'll just turn it off in my sleep, not hit snooze. Yesterday I ironed my clothes for the week and divided up my pasta into lunch sized portions so that would already be done in the morning. But I will still late this morning. It's not normal to have to be at work at 7:30 in the morning. It's too damn early!

Try putting the clock on the other side of the room/bed. That used to work for me in college. Now I just accept about 30 minutes of snooze time and build it into the alarm (ie set it 32 minutes before I need to wake up).

I have the exact opposite problem. Since having Aaron it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for me to sleep soundly past 6:00. So I get up at 6:00, shower and what not, and am usually out the door by 7:15. Except I don't have to be to work until 8:30, and it takes me about 30 minutes to drop Aaron off and get to work. Yeah. I'm usually 45 minutes early. I'm that girl.
