Today I did more with my flex day than just sit around and watch TV. Of course, right now I am sitting around watching TV. But that is besides the point.

I babysat Miss Molly for a few hours this morning. She was a doll... if dolls spit up at you and then laugh hysterically about it!! Hmph!! But she was really good. At one point she just wasn't happy, she would wake herself up from her nap and start crying. So I picked her up, sat in the rocking chair and rocked. But... that's kind of boring. And luckily for me, Beth enjoys Sophie Kinsella books. So what was I to do, than pick up Shopaholic Ties the Knot, rock with the baby, and read her chapter 1. :) 7 weeks old and already a mini shopaholic in training!

And then once I left there, I ambled down to the best Marshalls ever (seriously, I want to give it an award it's so great). And I left with a pair of sunglasses, two shirts, a new spring purse, and a pair of shoes. For about $75. I heart Marshalls. I love that I can get all that name brand, good quality stuff there. But not all Marshalls are the same. You have to go find a good one, and then be loyal to it. Even if it means driving past a crappy Marshalls to get to the good one. There's an actual strategy to being a Marshalls shopper. Most important to remember is you can't give up when you don't find something on every try. I've walked out on more than one occasion with nothing. Loyalty and perseverance. If you don't have both, you'll never get the full benefit. And you'll pay way too much.
